About the game
Tagline
Fish don't pay bills. Slicing them does.
One line
A bear slices leaping salmon to pay a beaver's bill that goes up every three days.
Short, about 50 words
Salmon Samurai is an arcade slicing game with a roguelike card draft. Hold and drag, and your bear's claws cut every leaping salmon the trail crosses. Each morning you pick one of three cards, every third day the beaver collects a bill that keeps rising, and one missed payment ends the run.
Medium, about 100 words
Salmon Samurai is an arcade slicing game with a roguelike card draft and a bill that goes up every three days. Hold and drag: your claws leave a trail, and anything the trail crosses is cut. Every cut spends stamina, and a combo makes every cut after it cheaper. Each morning you keep one of three cards from a deck of forty-three. Most of them cost you something, and some turn your claws to fire, lightning, frost or air. Sell the catch to a raccoon who underpays you, spend it on charms and relics, and pay the beaver on time. Miss it once and a FINAL NOTICE ends the run.
Long, about 250 words
Salmon Samurai is an arcade slicing game with a roguelike card draft, and a bill that goes up every three days. Hold and drag: your paw follows the mouse or your finger, your claws leave a trail, and anything the trail crosses is cut. No buttons, no aiming, no sword. The blade is the bear.
Stamina is how much of the river you get to take today. Every cut spends it; swiping through empty air is free. Chain your kills into a combo and every cut after that gets cheaper. Clip a rock and it takes a bite out of the bar. So every second you choose: one wide sweep across a whole school, or one king salmon sliced seven times before it lands.
Each morning you see three cards from a deck of forty-three and keep one. It stays for the whole run, and drawing it again levels it up. Most cards cost you something. Some change what your claws do: fire spreads from fish to fish, lightning arcs between them, frost freezes them until they shatter, and air spins up a cyclone that drags the river into your next swipe.
Sell the catch to a raccoon who underpays you. Spend it in a shop of forty-five charms and relics. Pay the beaver every third day. The bill goes up every cycle; the day does not get longer. Miss it once and a FINAL NOTICE ends the run.
There is no final day. What you bank on the way down is honey, and honey unlocks new cards for the draft and new items for the shop: more choices, not bigger numbers.
Key features
- Cut with your hand. Hold and drag; the claws cut whatever the trail crosses. No buttons, no aiming.
- Stamina is the clock. Every cut spends it. Combos make each cut after them cheaper; rocks take a bite.
- One card a morning. Three cards from a deck of 43; keep one. Most of them cost you something.
- Elemental claws. Cards that turn your claws to fire, lightning, frost or air, so each run plays differently.
- Pay the bill. Sell to the raccoon, shop from 45 charms and relics, pay the beaver every third day. The bill rises every cycle.
- No final day. The river scales until it takes you. Honey unlocks more cards and shop items: more choices, not bigger numbers.
- A busy river. Rocks, logs and snags, eagles that steal your fish, sturgeon that bounce your claws, golden salmon, and six kinds of weather.
- Pay once. No ads, no in-app purchases, no account. 35 achievements, five languages.
