The game

You are a bear. You have bills. The river has salmon. Hold and drag: your paw follows your finger, your claws leave a trail, and anything that trail crosses comes apart in the air. No buttons. No aiming. No rod, no net, no sword. The blade is the bear.

Cut with your hand

Every swipe burns stamina and nothing gives it back for free. Clean cuts pay it back. Combos pay it back with interest. Flail at empty water and your day ends before lunch.

One card a morning

Three cards off a deck of thirty-nine. Take one. Most of them charge you for the privilege — cards that make you faster make you hungrier, cards that pay more pay later.

Pay on time

Sell the catch to a raccoon who underpays you. Then pay the beaver, every third day. The bill almost doubles every cycle. The day does not get any longer.
